***A Crossword a Day***
Lately my wife Heather has turned into a Crossword junkie. Moments after I bring in the morning paper, she's busily working away at the daily crossword puzzle. So this week, when I ran into a daily online crossword at CNN, I couldn't resist sending Heather the URL. The report back from my personal crossword connoisseur: mention it in the report! So for all you Crossword Junkies out there (and you know who you are), here's another daily challenge :)

***Virtual Stonehenge***
Over the past few months I've had the pleasure to witness the birth of Virtual Stonehenge. One of my co-workers took on the task of recreating Stonehenge in 3D for the PC over the Internet, and the results are stunning. For all of you who've always wanted to experience Stonehenge but aren't able to travel all the way to England, pay Virtual Stonehenge a visit.

***My Usenet***
One resource on the Internet that is most overlooked is the Usenet - a collection of discussion groups with topics ranging from fashion to film and from cats to celebrities. One of the reasons why Usenet newsgroups get overlooked is that setting up a newsreader can be a little complex. Deja News, a site known for making the Usenet more accessible, recently launched My Deja News. My Deja News does for the Usenet what Hotmail does for e-mail: makes it easy, personal, and powerful. My Deja News is your personal news reader, with all the right tools to help you tap into one of the Internet's most overlooked resources.

***Beanie Fever***
If you think that Beanie Baby Fever is limited to toy stores and collector shops, think again. Beanie Fever has hit the web. If you've got Beanie Fever (like my brother and his girlfriend), then you will want to visit the Official Beanie Baby Web Site. Find out which Beanie Babies have been retired, which ones share your birthday, and everything you ever wanted to know about Beanie Babies but were afraid to ask.

***Send an Animated Greeting Card***
Which site experienced the most growth in 1997? Was it Yahoo? Microsoft? Netscape? Actually (according to Media Matrix, the Internet research guys), it was Blue Mountain Arts. This site is proof positive that it's fun to both give and receive electronic greeting cards. Select from the many categories of cards, and in just a few clicks, you can create your very own custom card. Sending it is just as easy, and the recipient can pick up the card by visiting Blue Mountain Arts with their pickup code.

***Paint the Web***
For the longest time I've been looking for a copy of my favorite painting, "Woman with a Veil" by Henri Matisse. While I scoured the Internet looking for this painting, I came across a fantastic resource for people who love art. Great Painters on the Web is a great place to find art by your favorite painter. With autobiographies, links to collections across the Internet, and a web discussion forum so you can chat with other enthusiasts, this is one art site you'll enjoy visiting.
