I'm getting sick of search engines!!! Now that there are over 1,000,000 domains on the Internet, finding what you are looking for is getting more and more difficult. The other day, just out of curiosity, I typed the word "yahoo" into Alta Vista and came up with 1,861,523 responses. Yikes! The answer to this information overload: The Internet Guide. This week I found a brand new company completely devoted to the concept of the Internet Guide. The Mining Company is building a collection of Internet Guides focused on specific topics. Since they are just getting started, they only have a handful of guides, like ones for ProBasketball and Advertising online, but they are looking for Internet-savvy people to be guides on their site. Whether you've aspired to be a guide on the Web, or you'd like a helping hand through the Internet maze, be sure to pay the Mining Company a visit. The Mining Company: http://www.miningco.com

From the start, I have been a really big fan of "You Don't Know Jack", an irreverent Internet game show where trivia and humor go hand in hand. This week I was delighted to see a new addition to the YDKJ family: You Don't Know Jack Sports! This new installment of YDKJ brings all the fun of the standard net game show to the world of sports. The new sports show is just one more reason why You Don't Know Jack is one of the most fun things you can do on the Internet! You Don't Know Jack! (Sports Show): http://www.bezerk.com
***Getting Your Own Domain ***
Many people ask me how I got my own domain (kleinman.com), and when I tell them, they are amazed at how easy it is. The first step in getting a domain name is to search the database of domain names on the Internet (Internic) to see if the domain name you want is taken. (There are over a 1,000,000 domains already registered, so don't get frustrated if your 1st choice is taken). Once you find a name that isn't taken, you need to find a place to house the domain (where you will host your web page and get your e-mail from). Kleinman.com is housed at Highway Technologies. Any good web hosting company will help you through the process and help register your domain name for you. Domains cost $50 per year to be registered at Internic (you'll be billed for the first 2 years up front), plus the fee from your provider for hosting your domain (Highway Technologies charges $50 to set it up, and $24.95 per month).Internic Domain Names Database: http://rs.internic.net/cgi-bin/whois
