A while back, I featured Search Voyeur from the now defunct Magellan, which gave a window showing the key words being entered by users around the world to search the net. This week I came across a new Search Voyeur from Web Crawler. Search Ticker is a fascinating look at some of the 5 million daily Web Crawler queries (be warned, the search ticker is NOT for children). Pull up the page and then watch as the search words scroll by. If you see something that looks interesting, you can click on it and Web Crawler performs a search on the word. I've found that watching other people searching the Internet can often be more entertaining than searching on my own. ***An Intelligent Mouse***
This week, I made a trek down to the local computer store to buy the new Microsoft Intellimouse. As I watched the clerk ring it up, I was amazed at its $69 price tag. Was I really shelling out almost $70 for a mouse?!? After a painless installation, I began my conversion to the new way of mousing around. The Microsoft Intellimouse is INCREDIBLE! Using it with Internet Explorer and Office 97, the Intellimouse, with its scroll wheel, made the tedious task of scrolling a snap. The Intellimouse is hell on wheel(s) with Internet Explorer, making surfing the net easier than ever.
