Every time I turn around, there seems to be a new piece of software which is supposed to change the way I use the Internet. Usually, it isn't until after I download the software, install it on my computer, and try to get it to run that I realize it's a complete disappointment. Stop wasting time downloading lame software and let Cool Tool keep you up on which software is truly cool. Be sure to sift through the list of past cool tools for some great software selections.Cool Tool of the Day: http://www.cooltool.com
***Cookin' on the Net****
It used to be that if you wanted to cook something new, you'd sit down with a few cookbooks and sift through the pages to find a recipe. Now with entire cookbook collections on a single CD ROM (like Williams Sonoma), and tons of recipes on the Internet, I often wonder if I've bought my last cookbook. This week I found a site that is singing taps for the old cookbook. Digital Chef shows just why the Net way is the best way. Search through a ton of recipes to find the one you want and you'll be rewarded with full nutritional, preparation, and ingredient information, and if six servings of beef stew is just too much, a quick click scales it down to a dinner for 2.Digital Chef: http://www.digitalchef.com/
***Magic 8 Ball***
When I was young I used to own a Magic 8 Ball (back in the 70's they were all the rage). The Magic 8 Ball would answer any question in a fortune cookie style. This week, I took a walk down memory lane when I came upon The Magic 8 Ball Online. Sure, it's a complete waste of time, but sometimes a walk down memory lane can be a ball!Magic 8 Ball: http://www.hooked.net/~zoftig/index.html
