*** Useless Facts! ***
With so much information retrieved so easily, it is very easy to slip into information overload. I often finish my week feeling like my brain is so full of facts and figures that it's ready to explode! Maybe that's why, after a long week, I got such a kick out of the Useless Fact page. With obscure facts and bizzare information galore, the Useless Fact page is the perfect place to learn such interesting (and useless) information like the volicity of Heinz ketchup as it leaves the mouth of the bottle (25 Miles per year), or the number of people living in China named Wang (70,000,000). Stop by the Useless Facts page and impress your friends at your next dinner party.Useless Facts: http://www.gidd.net/facts/
*** The Global Web ***
One of the greatest things about the Internet is that it is global. In fact, people subscribe to The Kleinman Reports from all around the world - from the US to the UK, from Croatia to South Africa, from Israel to India, from China to Japan, and all points in between. The only problem with navigating the global Internet is that unless you are multi-lingual, it's fairly difficult to read web pages in other languages. One (all be it rusty) step towards closing this gap is the World Wide Web Translator. Now, I can take a web page in English, run it through the translator, and have a page in French, German or even Spanish. The WWW Translator is really in its infancy, so don't expect error free translations, but for a first step, this is certainly in the right direction!WWW Translation Page: http://www.systransoft.com/translate.html
*** It's Good To Compare ***
Recently I set out to shop for a digital satellite receiver. As I began to sort through all the different models and packages, I quickly found that making sense of them all was no easy task. To help me untangle the confusing web of choices, I paid Compare Net a visit. Compare Net lets you easily compare many brands of the same product side by side. Although I decided to hold off buying the digital satellite receiver, I was glad to find a new tool to help see how things stack up.Compare Net: http://www.compare.net
*** Hey, why did I get the Kleinman Report on a Friday? ***
As you may have noticed, this week's Kleinman Report found its way into your email box a little early. The reason I mailed it at this odd time is that I will be away from my computer during my regular Sunday night Kleinman Report mail out ritual. As many of you who have been following my report may know, last November my father was diagnosed with cancer. This past April he went through surgery to remove the cancer. This past week we got some bad news - the cancer has returned and the prognosis is not good. During the next few months I still intend to send out the Kleinman Report, but it might take a bit longer for me to respond to to some of your e-mails. So in the next few months ahead, if the report comes a little early, or maybe even a little late, you'll know why.
