The Kleinman Report

My wife and I moved into our first home a few months ago, and within a matter of days began to discover the joys of owning a home. Many a time since then I have wondered why houses don't come with instruction manuals.

This week I found my instruction manual, and it wasn't hiding in my garage or somewhere on a dusty attic shelf. Instead, it was online at House Net.

House Net is a vast resource of how and what to fix in a house. What makes House Net so great is that it focuses not just on how to fix something yourself but knowing when to call in a professional. Be sure to check out House Net's discussion area to get your home repair questions answered by fix-er-up gurus.

***Earlier this week I threw up my hands in disgust as I spent a good five minutes searching through my bookmarks of resource sites to find the best site to look up the meaning of a word. Then it dawned on me that sometimes I spend more time looking for the appropriate search tool than I do actually searching. Determined, I set out to find a resource of resources. What I found was iTools! (http://www.itools.com), the swiss army kife of research tools. Using their Research-it and Find-it tool, I was off and running in a matter of moments.***
