For the past few weeks, my wife and I have been working with our favorite travel agent (who just happens to be my mom) on planning a cruise. While I feel perfectly comfortable purchasing a quick roundtrip ticket over the Internet, a cruise is something that requires a great deal more planning and expertise. Cruise Opinion provides a great companion resource as you work with your travel agent to decide which cruise is best for you. Based on reviews by ordinary travelers, Cruise Opinion lists each ship by cruise line and provides a wide spectrum of ship ratings from the quality of the food to the quality of the cruise staff, and even how stable the ship is in stormy seas. If you're thinking of booking a cruise, be sure to pay Cruise Opinion a visit (and if you're looking for a good travel agent to book your cruise, you can always e-mail my mom, the cyber travel agent, at: kay@kleinman.com)Cruise Opinion: http://www.cruiseopinion.com/
*** It's a SNAP ***
I am always on the lookout for good places on the Internet to add to my closely held list of "daily visited" web sites. This week C|net, one of the great pioneers of the Internet, launched SNAP. Created as a place to quickly and easily get news and info, Snap is a worthy addition to the C|net family. Worth a daily check, Snap serves up a nice dish of easy to digest information: news, sports scores, weather, and an easy to manage number of feature stories. Snap is less packed with information than My Yahoo, but ultimately that is to its benefit.***Newbie U***
Right now, there are far more people who have never surfed the Internet than people who have. Each day I get tons of e-mail from people who have logged on to the Internet for the first time and need help! Newbie-U is a great place to start when you're just starting out. With complete step-by-step lessons on how to e-mail, read news, chat, and surf the web, Newbie-U is a great place learn how to use the Net.Newbie-U: http://www.newbie-u.com/
